The Hawa Mahal, Jaipur, Rajasthan built by the king Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799 and designed by Lal Chand Ustad an Indian architect. It's called as the landmark of Jaipur. The structure of this ancient building is vey much unique and impressive, this architecture has 5 storey exterior, there are large numbers of windows. Upon the windows there are stone carvings and work of miniature arts which enhance the beauty of the building. The Hawa Mahal has 953 pink sandstone windows which are known as ‘jharokhas’. In the earlier times also the busy market used to be at the same place and the sole purpose constructing the building beside the road is to let the royal households to take a sneak peek of the city and its busy lifestyle through the jharokhas. The processions in the city used to take part in the busy street and the queens of the kingdom would watch all of them within the veiled comfort.
