Shiva Temple Nasrapur situated on the river name Shivaganga. The story behind the name of baneshwar is that
the temple was situated in dark woods - known as Ban (or Jungle) - and hence it
is called as 'Baneshwar'. Though the temple is very simple, it is very pretty.
Baneshwar is just 35 kms to the south of Pune (take Nasrapur phata/diversion,
it's 2-3 KM). And it also become a favorite picnic spot for all the tourist from Maharashtra,
India.
